Transcript of Weekly Phone Call (9/9/2011)

Good Evening Mission Families:  This is Mrs. Overley with your weekly announcements.

 

All parents MUST create their new Aeries accounts.  These letters were sent out, August 22nd with directions and student codes.  If you need assistance with this please contact Ms. Sallo ASAP.  Progress report #1 is today. Log into Aeries to check the status of your students Grades.

 

Wednesday is the Fall Awards Assembly.  It will begin at 1:40 pm in the Auditorium.  All parents are welcome to join the successes of our students. 

 

 

Make-up picture day is Wednesday, September 21st.  If your student was absent for the last picture day, please be sure that she is in Formal uniform. There is no cost for her ID, but packages are available for purchase. You can pick up a form from Ms. Olmos.

 

We are very excited to announce our first annual Flea Market!  This will take place on Sunday, September 25th in our school parking lot.  We will be open from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm.  Spaces are going fast if you are interested in being a seller. We are featuring a variety of vendors – from antiques to toys to clothing old and new!  All of our school clubs will be selling food and drink, so come and support.  For more info and an application, please see our web site!

 

In preparation for our Flea market, Ms. Olmos is in need of some strong parents on Saturday, September 17th at 7:00am.  We will be moving file cabinets, assorted desks and other used furniture.  Our hope is to get it all cleaned up to sell.  Moms and dads are appreciated.  For more info, please see our web site on Monday!

 

Attention: Freshmen parents - Just a reminder, your daughter’s Emergency Supply Bag fee of $75.00 is due by September 30th. Please send in your payment to the business office or you can call and pay over the phone via MasterCard or Visa. Call Mrs. Sosa at ext 107 if you have any questions.  

 

Monday, September 12th & Wednesday, September 14th are formal uniform days.

 

Athletes get your $5 locker fee to Ms. Sosa by Wednesday, September 14.  There are more than enough of the large lockers for all our athletes this season, so please sign up with Ms. Sosa.

 

Sports fees and athletic physicals for Cross Country and Volleyball are now due. If the sports fees or physical forms  are not turned in by Monday, September 12, 2011, your daughters will not be able to participate in the Cross Country Meet or Volleyball game scheduled for the upcoming week

 

The Booster Club and GAA will be hosting their annual car wash on September 24th in the school parking lot from 8:00-3:00. Ticket prices are as follows: $6.00 for cars and $8.00 for trucks and SUV’s. Tickets can be purchased in advance from a GAA member or purchased on the day of the car wash.

 

Want to show your support of the volleyball and cross country teams. If so, come and join them for dinner at “The Diner on Main Street” in Alhambra on September 22nd from 3:00-9:00pm. 20% of each check will come back to the school in support of the volleyball and cross country teams. Come and support these young ladies. There will be a special “meet and greet” the two teams between 6:00pm and 9:00pm.

 

There are still a few students who have not brought in verification of the dTap booster shot to the school office. You need to have this form on file no later than September 14, 2011. If  not, the student will not be admitted to school on September 15, 2011. There will be no exceptions.
