Good Evening Mission Families, this is Ms. Cagigas with your weekly announcements:
Wednesday, August 31, is our annual Welcome day activities and picnic at Smith Park. Your daughter received a permission slip on Thursday and they are due on Monday to room 123. Please know this is a school day, attendance is taken, and we look forward to your daughter’s participation. A pre-order pizza lunch is available for purchase Monday and Tuesday or your daughter may bring her own lunch. Dismissal on Wednesday is at 1:45pm
Also On Wednesday, August 31st Mission will be hosting Back to School night. Please pick up your students schedules in the foyer at 5:15 pm. The sessions will start at 5:30. This year you will follow a school day in the life of your daughter. So be prepared with your notebook and pen!
Following back to school night is the Mandatory parent meeting in the Parish Center at 7:00 pm.
This is a reminder for all parents that you must create a new Aeries log-in to access your daughter’s grades. If you have misplaced your daughter’s Permanent ID and Verification code please contact Ms. Sallo. She will have an Aeries HELP session during Back to School night from 5:00-5:30.
All students are required to have a textbook for each class. Teachers have been assigning homework and class work and students need their books. Students will not be excused for missed assignments since schedules were sent in the middle of the summer. If you have questions or concerns please contact Ms. Sallo at ext. 103.
There are 21 students who still have not turned in their emergency cards, photo release and census/directory information forms that were given out at registration and due August 18. Your daughter will be in detention on Monday, so please get your forms completed and signed to Ms. Olmos in room 123.
All athletes, regardless of their sport season, are required to have documentation of a physical on file with Mrs. Overley no later than August 29. If there is no physical on file they may not participate or practice. Also, sports fees are due to Mrs. Sosa in the business office no later than August 31.
Raffle tickets were given to each student on Wednesday. Each family received 25 tickets. These tickets are not for the Fiesta; these are the tickets for our first Mandatory Fundraiser. The Grand prize is a 2012 Toyota Corolla. The drawing will to be held on December 4th at our annual Christmas Boutique. Please ask your daughter about these tickets and the amazing student prizes. Ticket money is due on or before November 30th.
For those families not on FACTS, in order for your account to stay current, payments must be made before the end of each month.
San Gabriel Mission Fiesta is Labor Day weekend. If any parent would like to volunteer their time at the SGMHS Booth for hours please contact Ms. Reyes at ext. 128 by Tuesday, August 30. Thank you Mission Families, have a great weekend, and God Bless!
