SGMHS’s 75th Anniversary | All Souls Visit

We continue to celebrate our 75th Anniversary by taking a step back to the start of San Gabriel Mission High School. This month of September, 75 years ago, SGMHS began as a co-institutional school, opening its doors to Pioneers of both genders. However, our current school building was not ready to welcome our Pioneers home.

Instead, we called All Souls Elementary School in Alhambra home while our new campus was being built. So, in 1949, All Souls Elementary helped us warmly welcome our 119 Mission Freshmen Pioneers.

To commemorate this historic week and express our gratitude to All Souls Elementary, the students and faculty of SGMHS visited and presented a thank you gift to the school and their students. We also had our Pioneers and All Souls Alumnae take part in story time with the TK classrooms in both Spanish and Mandarin. With the middle school girls, we did a special presentation about becoming a Woman of Mission.

On behalf of SGMHS, we would like to thank All Souls World Language Catholic School for being a significant part of our history, and we look forward to welcoming future Panthers to the Pioneer family.
