San Gabriel Mission High School is one of two Catholic schools in the San Gabriel Valley region to offer Mandarin language and culture courses. Ms. Zhou, a native Mandarin speaker, has been teaching at Mission for over 18 years and has been instrumental in developing a strong curriculum in Mandarin.
We are able to offer Mandarin courses that lead into Advanced Placement (AP) for college credits. Ms. Zhou is also a liaison for our International Student program. Having a multicultural community is important for SGMHS as we strive to enrich the student experience cultivate strong global citizens.
