San Gabriel Mission High School Junior, Jessie Mendoza had a lot of free time on her hands because of the pandemic. She started researching ways to open a business. Jessie told herself it would be” a good experience working and getting to know the responsibility of running a business.” She researched different crafts and ideas and came across Disney Straw Toppers. Jessie searched and purchased the supplies she needed and within a week she was ready to begin her business. Jessie decided to market her business on Instagram and hoped the word would spread. She set up Zelle and Venmo for payments and she also offers pick-up or delivery, if needed. Jessie enjoys her craft and says it is a “fun experience” that she truly enjoys.
