Honoring Women's Rights

As an all girls school and in the spirit of women empowerment, we take the time to honor the 100th anniversary of the ratification (approval) of the 19th amendment to the United States Constitution, which granted women the right to vote on August 18th, 1920.

Attached a poem Mr. McGee composed to foster creative learning for our students. The poem reflects on this occasion and how we remember the past - which is often intertwined with how we view the present.

He especially thanks our students and the Mission community for always encouraging him as an educator. He also thanks Ms. Bueno for taking the time to read it and offer her feedback.
