Fernanda Gonzalez '20

Fernanda Gonzalez ‘20 transferred to SGMHS her junior year and has positively impacted our community.

Soccer is a passion in her life; she has played club soccer for many years. Her leadership skills shined this year on our varsity soccer team. She mentored her teammates, created a great team community on and off the field, and dominated as a defender. Academically she challenged herself while at SGMHS. Her commitment to her academics was recognized her senior year: Mission Honor Roll, California Scholarship Federation Honor Society, and Academic Distinction in Economics.

Fernanda was a KAIROS leader who was committed to creating a meaningful spiritual retreat for her classmates. She has served over +150 community service hours helping others through compassionate support. She exemplifies Dominican Charism in her words and actions earning her the Veritats Award/Dominican Day medallion nominated by SGMHS Faculty and Staff.

Fernanda has been accepted at Mount St. Mary’s and other schools. She will pursue her Bachelors of Science in Nursing starting this fall.

During this pandemic her profesional field of study choice is invaluable!
