A few weeks ago, I asked you a question regarding your knowledge of the Beatitudes. You were very honest with your answers. Today I want you to look back on what you have learned about the Beatitudes after going through the lesson and doing a project on it. In 6 sentences or more share with me what you now know about the Beatitudes?

Reflect on the Cardinal Virtue. Write the name of a person that to you it exemplifies a Cardinal Virtue? In other words when you think of Fortitude who comes to mind? When you think of Temperance, who comes to mind? When you think of Justice, who comes to mind? When you think of Prudence, who comes to mind?

Listen to the song as you follow the lyrics on the handout. Afterwards, please answer the questions at the bottom under Reflect and Discuss .

Please create a google doc and write the lyric or lyrics that you will be using for you Beatitude Project. You can choose one lyric and apply it to two Beatitudes or two different lyrics and apply it to two Beatitudes.
I only need the Lyric and author for today's check-in.

Please select 3 people to work on this group activity. You only need to upload one presentation with all of your names on it.
In the comment section please let me know who you will be working with. If you want to work on your own let me know that as well. Do not procrastinate as this is due the same day as your test! You will be sharing your presentations inn class on Wednesday.

Next week we will be taking a break from the book and working on two separate activities. For today's check in, all I need you to know is to tell me what you know about the Beatitudes? You have worked on your family tree. You know who they are by name, now is time to know how they have influence you as a person. How do their actions account for who you are today? How have they help you become the person you are today? What stories have they shared with you that have impacted you the most? What memories about them to do you cherish?
Remember the commercial we saw about the woman who became an attorney and was passionate about helping others. Recalled how she discovered that her grandfather shard the same views in his native Guatemala.

Part 2. We read the Bible today in order to understand the background and story of our faith. It is important for us to know that the Bible is a collection of books. Your goal is to familiarize yourself with the books in the Bible. Complete the given handout independently.

Part 3. We have taken the time to select a song for our prayer that resonates with our being, and maybe even express our attitude and philosophy towards life. Just like our songs, Psalms are Israel's music. They are the songs that Israel used in its Temple of worship. They give voice to the soul and tell stories of the Israelite. We often used verses from the Psalms as inspirational quotes, as many of you have during or prior prayer presentation.
On a document that you will be attaching to this section please answer the following questions

f. Skim through the following Psalm 1, 34, 37, 49, 73, 112, 128 and read/Write their title first on a document. Then select a Psalm from the ones listed above and read it thoroughly . Write a quick summary about such Psalm . On a paper that you will turn in, select a particular verse from that psalm copy it onto a piece of white paper and depict your verse with an illustration. Whatever the quote made you feel? Your first instinct.

Girls, I will not be in today. Please create flashcards for chapter 3 vocabulary. No quizlet and you cannot do it on a doc. You need to use your textbook- Chapter 3 and the glossary to define the terms. I will be checking flashcards tomorrow.
