Description
The A.P. United States Government course is designed to present the foundations of the American system of government and their applications in society. Students will study numerous topics and for each one they will be able to discuss its historical foundations, but more importantly, its connection to the reality of current U.S. politics. This will allow students to become more knowledgeable and participatory citizens as they ready themselves to be part of an educated electorate. Students enrolled in this course are required to take the Advanced Placement exam on Thursday, May 10, 2018, for which there is a fee. Those students who achieve a score of 5, 4, or 3 on the exam are eligible for college credit.

AP U.S. Government and Politics Examination 8:00 a.m. (Arrive at Room 116 by 7:30 a.m.; Report to Room 121 No Later Than 7:50 a.m.)

Here are my final tips for you on what to study during this last week of preparation:

-REMEMBER FOR THE FRQS TO JOT DOWN BRIEF NOTES / MINI-OUTLINES  IN THE MARGINS NEXT TO THE QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BEGIN, TO WRITE IN COMPLETE SENTENCES TO ANSWER EVERY QUESTION (NO BULLET POINTS), CLEARLY LABEL THE LETTERS OF EACH QUESTION AND SKIP ONE LINE BETWEEN LETTERS, USE EXAMPLES TO SUPPORT YOUR RESPONSE IF THE QUESTION DOES NOT SAY IDENTIFY AND THAT YOU RECEIVE POINTS BASED ON THE LETTER OF EACH QUESTION; YOU CAN EARN CREDIT FOR A AND NOT B, ETC. SO MAKE SURE YOU ATTEMPT ALL PARTS AND DO NOT COMPLETELY SKIP A QUESTION BECAUSE YOU DO NOT KNOW ONE PART OF IT!!! BE THOROUGH AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE 100 TOTAL MINUTES - 25 MINUTES PER QUESTION - THAT YOU ARE GIVEN FOR THE FRQ PORTION

-FOR THE MULTIPLE CHOICE SECTION DO NOT SPEND TOO MUCH TIME ON ANY ONE QUESTION! IF THE QUESTION INVOLVES A GRAPH / CHART, LOOK FOR CONCEPTS YOU RECOGNIZE / MAKE SENSE IN THE ANSWERS AND DO NOT SPEND TOO MUCH TIME ON THE QUESTION. YOU HAVE 45 MINUTES TO ANSWER 60 MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS

-BE CONFIDENT BECAUSE YOU ARE WELL PREPARED! REVIEW THE FOLLOWING CONTENT BELOW:
