Catherine Hernandez '20 is a dedicated and hardworking student. Academically she has challenged herself by taking a number of honor courses including six AP courses including our AP Computer Science class. Her passion lies with science, math and engineering. Over the past summer she participated in a STEM program at both Santa Clara University and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Her academic excellence, service and leadership is evident with her active roles as Senior Class Vice-President, National Honor Society, VERITAS, and serving her local community with over 200 service learning hours.
Catherine plans to attend San Jose State University and was accepted into their honors program. She was also accepted into Cal Poly Pomona and Santa Clara University. She plans to also receive a Masters in Software Engineering and to possibly have her own startup company. We are very proud of all of her accomplishments, we need young women like her in the STEM field.
