Kim Baldonado is a native of San Gabriel and an alumna of Mission High School. The award winning journalist spent the bulk of her career covering the news for NBC4 in Los Angeles. 

During her time with NBC4, Baldonado was known for tackling complex issues with exceptional writing and storytelling. 

She was honored with 7 local news Emmys and a prestigious National Edward R. Murrow award for her in-depth reporting on the state of public education. 

She began her broadcast journalism career with an internship while attending UC Berkeley. She worked behind the scenes in San Francisco and Los Angeles before taking her first on air job in Palm Springs. After one year in the desert, she spent the next 30 years reporting in Los Angeles.  
 
Baldonado is passionate about giving back to the community. She serves on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles, where she has mentored 2 young woman over 13 years. In 2019, she was honored with the Big Sister of the Year Award.
