Mrs. Heilweil was born and raised in Bulgaria. She began her French education in a French Catholic school in Istanbul, Turkey. Her Bachelors and Masters Degree are in French Language and Literature, which she received from the University of Sofia “Kliment Ohridsky” in Bulgaria. In 2012 Mrs. Heilweil successfully completed an IB professional course in Visual Arts and in 2014- an IB French course.
 
She has more than 20 years experience teaching French language and culture and at the same time contributing as a French translator for a newspaper.  She is fluent in four languages: Bulgarian, French, Russian and English and believes that any new language learning provides new experiences and expands the student’s horizon at each level. 
 
With her strong interest in photography, traveling and arts, in 2010 Mrs. Heilweil started an Art Show at SGMHS  known as "Art and Cup of Tea." This promising Art-Exhibition tradition continues today under her leadership and takes place each year in April- May. This is her 19th year at SGMHS.

Art Show 2016

"Art and Cup of Tea" - In 2010 Mrs. Heilweil started an Art Show at SGMHS  known as "Art and Cup of Tea." This promising Art-Exhibition tradition continues today under her leadership and takes place each year in April- May. This year (2016) the exhibition also includes 3-D art, sculptures and installations from recycling materials and they are central pieces of the art show. In addition a table was set with the art pieces of faculty members from SGMHS. Lastly this is the first year with individual presentations of IB visual arts students work.
