I am a San Gabriel native! I grew up down the street from my parish, grammar school, and yes, San Gabriel Mission High School (SGMHS). I am a proud graduate of SGMHS which is why when I graduated in 1996, I decided to return as Senior Religion Teacher and Campus Minister so that I could give back the many blessings I received as a student. With this goal in mind, I set out into the great big world to acquire as much life experience and education as I could to share with my students.

I spent four years at St. Mary's College of California in Moraga which is about 35 miles east of San Francisco and graduated in 2000 with a BS in Psychology and Religious Studies. I wanted to rush back to Mission, but I did not feel quite ready, so I started my Master's program in Theology at the Franciscan School of Theology in Berkeley, California. I took a two year leave of absence from graduate school to move back home, teach at Mission, and marry my grammar school sweet heart. We returned to Berkeley on our first year wedding anniversary and I completed my final year of my masters program a year later in 2004. We stayed 3 more years in the San Francisco Bay Area in which time I worked as a High School Youth Ministry and Confirmation Coordinator, ran 2 marathons, and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy.

We moved back to the Los Angeles Area with our son and while still on maternity leave the Campus Ministry position opened up at SGMHS. I took it and here I am two children later serving at Mission. I am so grateful to God for all my life experiences and the privilege of sharing them with my students at SGMHS in various administration and teaching positions over the last 20 years, but I am most excited about serving as the Principal!
