The Physical Education part of this course is a semester course that is based on the premise that the quality and productivity of each individual's life can be enhanced through participation in a comprehensive, sequential physical education program that promotes physical, mental, emotional and social well-being. The class will participate in "The President's Challenge" a Physical Activity and Fitness Awards Program. This is a new program launched from the President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition, and is dedicated to increasing the physical activity and fitness of America's youth for decades. While using this program within the physical education classes, we hope to introduce more young Americans to the fun of physical activity. The President's Challenge is a terrific way to encourage students to get off the couch, get away from the computer screen, and get moving.

The classes will also be introduced to new activities within the curriculum. They will be learning such activities as indoor hockey, boccer, basketball and volleyball skills, ultimate frisbee and other activities. Stay tuned for your daughters coming home from school and sharing their physical education experience.
