Course Description:
Students will be introduced to a variety of acting techniques (engaging a myriad of methodologies, including but not limited to Uta Hagen, Stanislavsky, and Meisner), improvisation, physicality for the actor, dance, voice for the actor, singing, and music, all of which are the foundations of American musical theatre. This class is designed to build students’ awareness of their creative and expressive capabilities, through listening, community building, reading, project-based learning, and experiential learning. Students will be given a variety of assessments that include writing, research, and performance. Participation in culminating performances are required.​
