Ways to Give
San Gabriel Mission High School’s continued excellence depends on regular support from generous members of the community-current and past parents as well as alumni and friends of the school. Each gift, no matter the amount, makes a vital impact on Mission. There are several ways to make a donation to the school.
Please note that San Gabriel Mission High School is a 501 © 3 non-profit organization. Donations made to San Gabriel Mission High School are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Please contact the Development Office at (626) 282-3706 with any questions about making a gift to the school.
Endowed Gifts
All private schools strive to build strong endowment funds to ensure their future financial health.
San Gabriel Mission High School’s endowment funds provide lasting support for the general operating budget, financial aid, professional development, and facilities maintenance. All endowment contributions remain intact in perpetuity.
Matching Gifts
Your gift could be matched dollar for dollar. Many companies offer matching gift programs that will double, even triple a donation’s value. Memorial or Honorary Gifts
Gifts in honor or memory of a friend or family member or in recognition of a significant event may be made in any fund.
Planned Gifts
Gift annuities, life insurance, charitable remainder trusts, lead trusts and bequests are examples of planned gift. By making such a gift to San Gabriel Mission High School, you not only contribute to the school’s future, in many instances you may enjoy a tax deduction or avoid capital gains or estate taxes.
Real Estate
Gifts of real estate can be given to the school outright, transferred to the school in a bargain sale, or can be used to fund a gift annuity or unitrust. In some cases, it may be possible to arrange a sizable tax deduction by deeding the property to the school now, while continuing to occupy the property during your lifetime.

There are so many ways for current and past parents, alumni and friends to volunteer at SGMHS. We encourage you to be a part of the life of the school by lending your time and talents. Please call the Development Office at (626) 282-3181, ext. 116 for more information.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
Cash
Gifts of cash are available for immediate use by the school for unrestricted or endowed purposes and will provide instant tax savings to the donor. Your check should be made payable to San Gabriel Mission High School. The school also accepts payments made by Visa, MasterCard and American Express. (see Credit Cards)
