Two SGMHS Students Crowned Fiesta Princess!

Alex Sanchez, a junior at SGMHS, is an athlete and an IB scholar. She wanted to be on the Fiesta Royal Court to get more involved with her Mission family and the community. Alex believes this will open new doors to new opportunities.  She is most excited to meet new people and promote SGMHS, a place she fell in love with because of the summer 8th grade STEM program and the carrying staff. She hopes being a Fiesta Princess will open more doors for her fellow Mission Sisters.  Once Alex is done with her schooling at SGMHS she aspires to attend Notre Dame or Loyola Marymount University and serve in the US Air Force.  One day she hopes to work as a FBI Agent/Profiler.

Also a Junior at SGMHS, Citlalli Sanchez is no stranger to the Fiesta having grown up with it as an SGMES student and SGM parishioner. Citlalli wanted to be on the Fiesta Royal Court because she thought it would be an amazing opportunity to know her community a bit more and to be a witness for the San Gabriel Mission Church in the larger community. She is most excited about representing SGMHS a place she feels welcomed and loved.  Citlalli contributes to her school’s atmosphere of unity and family as a leader on the Mission Sister-Family Team.  As Fiesta Princess, she is also excited about all the service the court will participate in as element of their year-long role.  Once Citlalli has taken the SGMHS West and East Coast College Tours, she will have a better idea how she’d like to continue her education, but until then she enjoys US History and and is interested in a possible career in the Film Industry.
