Mrs. Eugenie Heilweil

Eugenie was born and raised in Bulgaria. She began her French education in a French Catholic school in Istanbul, Turkey. Her Bachelor and Master Degree are in French Language and Literature, which she received from the University of Sofia “Kliment Ohridsky” in Bulgaria. Eugenie has more than 20 years experience teaching French language in high school. This is her 8th year in SGMHS. She has great knowledge of French Literature and World History. Eugenie is fluent in four languages: Bulgarian, French, Russian and English. As her world has evolved, she has traveled from the Fertile Crescent environs of the Old World to the land of golden opportunities manifested in the New World. These personal experiences broaden her perspective as a world historian. Eugenie arrived in the United States in 1992. Outside of school Eugenie is interested in water-color painting, traveling and photography. Art and creativity are her strengths. She currently resides in West Los Angeles.
